About us
A small firm, on purpose.
Shunli Solutions is built to do one thing really well — put proper business software in the hands of Kenyan companies, without the agency overhead, without the vendor games.
The founder
Muhammad Hassan Saggaf
I started Shunli Solutions because I was tired of seeing Kenyan businesses buy software that didn't fit them. Either they got forced into a global tool that was built for a different world, or they got sold a Frankenstein of Excel and WhatsApp by someone charging consulting fees for common sense.
My work is different. I specialise in one system — ERPNext, the open-source business platform — and I install, customise, and run it for companies that want to grow without losing control of their data.
I'm based in Mombasa, work with clients across Kenya, and I'm currently studying Computer Science at the Open University of Kenya on top of running the firm. I pick up the phone when you call.
What I do well
- Setting up ERPNext end-to-end
- Building custom Frappe apps
- KRA / eTIMS / M-Pesa integration
- Running infrastructure (servers, backups, security)
What I won't pretend to do
- Graphic design or branding
- Mobile app development
- SAP, Oracle, or "any ERP"
- Promise miracles
How we think
Three beliefs that run through everything we build.
The business comes first.
Software serves the business, not the other way round. If a feature doesn't save time or reduce error, it doesn't belong.
Simpler is better.
We'd rather build something small that works than something big that impresses. Complexity is the enemy of reliability.
You should own your tools.
Your data. Your code. Your server. If we ever stop being useful, you should be able to walk away without losing anything.
